Thought about Dr. Z today for some reason and discovered his passing. He was my OBGYN for several years in Atlanta, and he was the best! So compassionate and caring. My sympathies go out to the family. I know he is terribly missed.

I WORKED FOR DR Z FOR MANY YEARS. WHEN I LEFT HE WAS MAD AT ME, I NEVER REALLY GOT THE CHANCE TO TELL HIM WHY. I LOVED HIM, I WORKED VERY HARD FOR HIM AND WE HAD A LOT OF FUN WHEN WE WENT TO SEMINARS, WE LAUGHED A LOT AND CRYED TOGETHER. I WISH I WOULD HAVE TOLD HOW MUCH I LOVED HIM AND WAS GLAD TO WORK ALL THOSE FOR HIM.

Dr. Z delivered our 3 girls in Alaska (95,99,00). I wanted to keep climbing mountains and zipping around... he wanted me on bed rest, pshshsh! I knew he was THE BEST, so also knew he knew best. He then moved to SaddleBrooke, perhaps after a conversation in Alaska when I mentioned he might like it where my in-laws had lived for years... next thing I know we were visiting in SaddleBrooke each time we visited our Fam. We´d walk up to he and RM´s gorgeous place and he got to watch our girls (which he delivered) as they grew into fine young women. He was proud like a papa. What a stallion, what a gentleman, what a brain, what a sweet sweet man! Only time to tuck his tie in on our middle child and yelled get a nurse from the nursery needed her yesterday... as he exclaimed precipitous birth! So many special memories of our fellow "Z"!
So, sending Zugg Hugs to you Rosemary! What a Blessing Mark was on this Earth, may he Rest In Peace and you find loving peace and comfort!

My first memory of Mark was early in the morning when he and Rosemary walked their dogs. They were easy to chat with and we became friends. Mark made his famous homemade pasta and sauce. So good! He was kind, intelligent and very funny.
He will be missed by all.

Sending our deepest sympathy and prayers to you all. Dr. Z made me feel so protected and well cared for during both pregnancies and was so kind to stay in touch as the boys grew up. My dad passed away last January and they were long time colleagues and friends. I´m hopeful they´re both watching over us and reflecting on the amazing work bringing so many babies into this world.

Z, Mark, Dr Zimmerman, was a fantastic, generous and protective boss and a good friend after I was no longer working for him. He was always kind and friendly and I am so happy I got to visit with him in April, the first time I'd seen him since he left Alaska. It was a wonderful few hours with him and Rosemary at their incredible home in Sedona and a yummy lunch on their deck. I will cherish our last visit forever. This is a loss for all of his friends, patients and especially his family.

Dr. Z delivered three of our five children in 1973, 1977, and 1981! We had four boys and Dr. Z kept the identity of our fifth child a secret until SHE was born!! What an exciting time for all of us ~ The Busbee´s have a baby girl!! Thank you Dr. Z for your excellent and loving care! My condolences to Dr. Zimmerman´s family ~ he was truly the best doctor.

I knew him as Mark Rosemary's husband and how they adored eachother. I enjoyed their updates on their travels quite a bit. Not jealous at all...haha. I rode horses with Rosemary amd attended a horse clinic with her. Mark was always by her side and seeing them every day at the horse clinic supporting eachother was so fantastic. Just thinking about theor love always makes me smile. My sincere condolences. I will always cherish my memories of Mark and how kind and loving he looked at ypu sweet Rosemary.

This is from Linda and Skip Bowling living in Chandler, Arizona. Linda´s father and Mark´s father were in the same business, so that´s how we were introduced when Mark moved to Atlanta to complete his residency at Grady Hospital. He and Nancy became our very close friends sharing Christmas abd Seder celebrations each year. We were together when their children were born. Skips unmarried younger sister needed a doctor and when her time came Mark treated her as a private patient in a city hospital. Something we were always grateful for. We will always remember Mark´s compassion and friendship, We moved to California in 1982 and later realized Mark moved to Alaska and our last meeting was a dinner in Anchorage when we took a family trip to Alaska, We deeply regret not sharing any personal time after that, but we always will remember this special man in our family life.

I'm an old high school friend of Rosemary's and attended Rosemary and Mark's wedding in Alaska in 1997, I think that was the first time we met. Over the years, we've gathered many times-there was a memorable trip to Santa Barbara, and several visits to Arizona for mini-high school reunions, the last time in Sedona in May. Mark was famous for his cooking and hospitality, and was a supportive partner to Rosemary and an excellent dog dad (we witnessed him delivering a litter of pups while we were visiting). I am really going to miss him, and I send Rosemary my love.
