Marla Fay Daeger, 71 of Somerset passed from this life on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on March 2, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter of the late Earl Erhart and Vivian Hitzman Erhart. After graduating high school, Marla became a Registered Nurse upon completion of her studies at the St. Francis Medical College of Nursing. She spent many years at the Fort Wayne Department of Cardiology. With her genuine, loving and compassionate personality, she won the hearts of many patients and friends. Marla had the innate ability to make others feel important, loved and cherished. She was a gregarious person and enjoyed the company of her family and circle of friends. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and riding motorcycles. She was a loving, kind-hearted and generous wife, mother and "Mamaw" and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Marla was of the Catholic Faith and member of the St. Mildred's Catholic Church. Marla will be fondly remembered for all the loving and kind words that describe her along with her wittiness and her famous quote "Ten Dollars Please".

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters; Shelia Hicov and Rheeta Jackson and a grandson; Austin Golliver. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories; her husband; David Daeger of Somerset and three daughters; Heather Daeger of Fort Worth, Texas, Janelle Golliver and her husband; Larry Sneegas of Louisville, Kentucky and Leslie Daeger of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 5 grandchildren; Christian Krebs, Zachary Krebs, Jr., and Deakon Sweet all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Savannah Sneegas and Charles Sneegas both of Louisville, Kentucky, a twin sister; Karla Duke of Indianapolis, Indiana and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Danny Taylor officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the St. John's Cemetery in Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to the St. Mildred's Outreach Center, 203 South Central Avenue, Somerset, Kentucky 42501, Attn: "Ten Dollars Please".
