Marla J Niblock

Early Saturday morning on March 22, 2025, Marla J. Niblock sadly passed away in Roberts, Idaho, at age 89 due to pneumonia.Marla was born on November 24, 1935 to John L. Larsen and Bertha Viola Adamson in Kodiak Alaska.

Marla was 23 come January 1959, when Alaska became the official 49th state.

Marla J. Larsen married the love of her life Leigh A. Niblock on May 19, 1955, they were married for 53 years until June 2008 when her husband sadly passed away.On February 22, 1956 Marla and Leigh welcomed a baby boy and named their son Richard Leigh Niblock. Richard ended up being the only child they both had.

After the passing of Leigh, Richard took his mother traveling to places like Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Branson Missouri and some other places, but sadly Richard ended up passing away May 2022.

Marla, Leigh and Richard always enjoyed family gatherings together and with all their friends too.

Marla through out her life was always kind and caring.Marla worked in the Cannery Industry. Leigh worked the snowplows to keep the roads clear. Richard was a fisherman and enjoyed being out in the sea.

After living many years in Alaska, Marla and her husband moved to Moses Lake, Washington for a while and later moved to Port Angeles, Washington for the remaining years of their life including their son.

Marla enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts; she loved reminiscing all the time through her pictures. Marla had a huge collection of all types of dolls. She also had a big collection of vinyl records. Marla loved her music.

Marla J. Niblock is preceded in death by both parents, her husband, her son, both her brothers, Richard and Johnnie Larsen and her sister Betty Nelson.Marla is survived by lots of nieces and nephews and cousins and three grandchildren.A memorial service will be held online in November 2025 sometime so that anyone, anywhere, can be a part of it.Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
