I visited her in November , before thanksgiving , I knew about her sweet tooth! I brought her a pain au chocolat, she was thankful and happy to see me ! She was a beautiful lady inside and out ! I´m truly going to miss her ! We went to dinner to my son´s restaurant ( Carbone ) where he works. We had such a great time ! Rest in peace beautiful Marlene!

Dear Norman and your next generations: While Michael and I had just casual contact with your Marlene, we are saddened to know she is no longer with us. When Michael told me she had passed away, I was startled. I knew her as a proud midwife...a healthcare giver I had never experienced until the very natural birth of our great- grand babies. Is it outrageous to say I "loved" this obituary!? TY for sharing Marlene so exquisitely and in such detail. May Marlene rest in well-deserved peace and may her memory be a gift of love! Marlene will stand out in my memory as a devoted grandmother to Jesse and Casey, but this beautiful obituary has revealed so many other fascinating chapters of her life. I quickly captured this photo of her with Jesse because I was struck by the tender and proud way she looked at him. Her family was undoubtedly blessed to feel that gaze at many points throughout her life. Sending love and deepest condolences to all who were close to her.

After growing up in FL for the first 10 years of my life, I finally got to see the Everglades up close on an air boat. Thank you, Malsey for making that happen and always being a bright spot in our lives. May you rest in peace, my dear sweet aunt Marlene <3
