Marlene Crochet Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 24 to Aug. 26, 2017.
Marlene Hebert Crochet, 65, a resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in her home surrounded by family and friends after a four year battle with cancer. Marlene was a native of Bayou Pigeon, where she met and fell in love with her husband of 47 years, Ernest Crochet. They started their family in Bayou Pigeon and later moved to Pierre Part. Some of her greatest and most prized accomplishments are their 3 children. She took great pride in caring for her family, for the sick, and for anyone who needed her. She was a very hard worker, her favorite job was caring for her niece Brandi. After being diagnosed with cancer in August of 2013, her number one goal was to get back to caring for her. Unfortunately she was unable to do that. Anyone who knew her knows how much she loved to talk. She also loved visiting with friends and family and dancing. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She had a passion for taking care of everyone especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Crochet; two daughters, Kelli Mabile and husband, Teddy, and Jesslyn Landry and husband, Blake; one son, Kerry Crochet and wife, Jenny; three grandchildren, Easton Mabile, Hudsyn and Drea Landry; two honorary grandchildren, Gaytes and Ainsley Crochet; one sister, Trudy Crochet and husband, Gerald; four brothers, Wilbert Hebert Jr. and wife, Tonya, Wayne Hebert and wife, Arlene, Roger Dale Hebert and wife, Melissa and Lanson Hebert; one half-sister, Sandra Prejean and husband, Timmy; one step-sister, Vanessa Daus and husband, Mike; three step-brothers, Lee Lake and wife, BeBe, Troy Lake and wife, Denise and Kenny Lake and wife, Marlene; step mother, Verna Hebert and numerous loving godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Hebert and Bursie Simoneaux Hebert. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, on Saturday August 26, 2017 from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Interment to follow in church mausoleum. To offer condolences to the family, sign the online guestbook at www.oursofhpierrepart.com.
