Marlene Jamison Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 4, 2007.
In loving memory of our wonderful mother, sister, wife, and grandmother. Marlene Mary Jamison was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 28, 1935 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 24th 2007. Marlene loved life, even up to the end; she was not ready to give up. As a child she loved roller skating in competition, winning many medals. Marlene also loved fishing, boating, flying, and traveling with her loving husband Ron in their motorhome. All of her life she worked in food service, and most recently worked at the Clackamas Costco for 9 years. Cooking for her family and friends was a passion, especially during the holidays. She was an excellent cook and hostess. She also received her learners permit to fly so that she could fly next to her husband on their many trips to Minnesota and New York with the kids to visit family. Marlene raised her family in Lynnwood and Olympia Washington before moving to Milwaukee, Oregon, where she lived until her death. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ron Jamison; her four children, Mike Ridler (Cindy), Pam Geislinger (Leonard), Karen Pressel (Mike), and Kathleen Nurmi (Brian); eight wonderful grandchildren, Shalon, Kevin, Ryan, Amanda, Andrea, Curtis, Nicole, and Lindsey; and two great-grandchildren, Julius and Sean. She is also survived by her brother and sisters of Minnesota, Kathleen, Gerrie, Gloria, and Charles, and preceded in death by her younger brother, Jack. To honor her wishes, there will be no service. Remembrances may be sent to Susan G. Komen foundation: www.komen.org.
