Marni Fitzer of Fair Oaks, California peacefully passed away in her sleep with her family by her side on the afternoon of November 4, 2023. She was 54 years old.

Marni was born on September 12, 1969, in Sacramento. She was the daughter of Tim and Sara Fitzer. She attended Bella Vista High School and graduated in the class of 1987. After high school, she attended Sacramento City College and studied abroad at American College in London. During her study abroad she traveled throughout Europe and especially loved her time in Mykonos, Greece.

After college, Marni moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lived happily with a large group of friends, many also from Sacramento, for many years. Later, she returned to Sacramento, where she met Shannon Koepplin. They were married for 15 years and lived in Lodi, California until Shannon lost his battle with an aggressive form of leukemia in July of 2019. After Shannon's death, she moved back to Sacramento to be close to family and friends.

She is survived by her father, Tim; brother, Chris, and his wife Jamie; nephew, Brennan, niece, Sadie, and many extended, but close family members. She was loved by many and will always be remembered for her spirited personality and sense of humor.

Family and close friends are invited to a luncheon gathering to celebrate Marni's life from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm December 22, 2023, at Curtis Hall (Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community) located at 2791 24th Street in Curtis Park Sacramento (on the corner of 24th Street and 4th Avenue).

In lieu of flowers, Marni's family encourages donations to a charity of your choice.
