Marsha and I met when she became the secretary for Shingle Creek elementary school. She was a new secretary and and I was a new principal and we both faced the daunting task of our first budget process in Minneapolis Public Schools. Marsha was sure we could do it with help from other secretary friends and she was correct, we completed the process with flying colors.
Marsha was the best secretary I worked with ( except for her daughter Lisa...it´s a toss up as to who was better). She was friendly with staff and parents, quick to make a joke to release tensions, very loyal and supportive to me, and though she didn´t need to be involved with the students , she was supportive to many of them. She talked about her kids Lisa, Nils, and Sarah as well as her husband Roger lovingly. When she had her first granddaughter's, she was " over the moon" with happiness.
Then they were her dogs Marge and Homer whom she dearly loved and talked about often.
Marsha was such a special person and friend. Your family and her friends lost a bright light of sunshine when Marsha passed. May she rest in peace and watch over us.

I grew up with Marsha when we lived across the street on 41st & Girard Ave No. We went to high school together - class of '64 (me) and '65 (Marsha). We stayed in contact until probably 1968, after both of us married. I will truly miss her comments on Facebook. Rest in peace my dear friend - love forever.

I thought the world of Marsha. She was incredibly kind and compassionate and had such a fabulous sense of humor. She will be very missed by those who knew and loved her.

I was so lucky to meet Marsha after finding out she was my half-sister. What a wonderful;; realization.
