MARSHA FRANK Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 12 to Dec. 14, 2014.
FRANK
MARSHA K. (KOLESAR)
Age 65, of Franklin Park, passed peacefully on December 10, 2014, surrounded by her adoring family, after a courageous 15 year battle with breast cancer. Beloved wife of 45 years to her high school sweetheart, Ronald W. Frank; loving, thoughtful, and dedicated mother of Connor (Rachel) Frank; daughter of Ann and the late John Kolesar of Springdale, PA; sister of Camille Kolesar, John "Jack" (Barbara) Kolesar, and Nicholas Kolesar. Marsha graduated from Springdale High School and Duff's Business Institute, and attended classes at the University of Pittsburgh. During her 19-year career, she worked at Duke Law School and ALCOA. She then volunteered 18 years at Franklin Elementary School in Franklin Park, where she loved spending time in the classroom with the students. Marsha enjoyed golfing (and the lunches that followed) with her girlfriends, traveling with her family, shopping, and spending time with her son, who was the center of her world. Her legacy is the large number of friendships she made, and the countless acts of kindness she performed for her family, friends, and co-workers during her lifetime. Marsha was loved to the moon and back by her family and will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends at SCHELLHAAS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143, located in Franklin Park near the intersection of I-79 and Route 910, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014, and from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, December 15, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at Sewickley Presbyterian Church, 414 Grant Street, Sewickley, PA (meet at the church). Interment will follow in Sewickley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Sewickley Presbyterian Church, 414 Grant St., Sewickley, PA 15143,and performing an act of kindness in Marsha's honor over the next few days. Ron I just learned of Marsha's passing away today. I was only there for 2 days but got to know her a little. I am sad that I only had a short time with her and she is gone but will look forward to meeting her again in heaven.May your memories see you through what has to be a sad time for you and your family. My sympathies to all.

Ron, Connor, and Rachel,

You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry that we cannot physically be there for you. Marsha was the sweetest, most genuine person we have known. She would light up a room as soon she entered it. She was truly an angel on earth. May your sweet memories help you through this difficult time. Love, Glenn and Mary Lou

Dear Ron, Connor and Rachel,

We were saddened to learn of Marsha's passing and the end of her valiant fight. Like so many who were fortunate to come into her orbit, we feel blessed to have known her warm smile and kind words for all. Marsha made an impact on everyone she encountered, and we are all better because of her. Cherish your rich memories of one of God's angels, and accept our deepest sympathies at this difficult time.

Marsha was a wonderful person. She always had a beautiful smile and spoke so nice and intelligent about everything. She and Ronald were such good friends to me. I am sure she will be welcomed to Heaven even though she will be sadly missed by all of us here on earth.
Thank you for all you did,
Sherwood Stephens
