Marshall would have enjoyed his memorial service on Sunday. He would have loved the musical performances and also hearing what others had to say about him. He would have had a rebuttal for some of it, but probably would agree with most of it. Unique, intelligent, affectionate, adventurous, creative, amusing--everything one could want in a friend. Marshall was always looking for a problem to solve and thought there was a solution to every problem. We didn't always agree with him and we took the position that sometimes a solution to a problem just creates a larger problem. We will miss the lively discussions, but memories of our dear friend Marshall will go on.
