Born Dec. 13, 1914, in Harrison, she lived in the Brackenridge area all her life. Mrs. Aretz was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, Harrison. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and gardening. Survivors include a son with whom she lived, Dr. Thomas E. Aretz; two daughters, Mrs. Carole L. (Donald) Crispens of Cranberry and Mrs. Virginia (David) Boyer of Ellicott City, Md.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Chesaro of Harrison and Frances Popowicz of Erie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. "Nemo" Aretz in 2001; and her parents, John and Katherine Motosicka Stefanik. Relatives and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon Wednesday at DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 10th Ave. at Corbet St., Tarentum. Her pastor, the Rev. Donald J. Sotak, will officiate. Private burial will be in Sacred Heart St. Peter Cemetery, Tarentum.
