Auntie Martha is deeply etched in our childhood memories. Every summer weekend held the promise of a day at the lake. Each family would pack a cardboard box full of goodies to create a spread on the picnic table. Auntie Martha always brought the Kool-Aid along with her cheerful disposition. The summer Kool-Aid memory can't be seperated from her enthusism and determination to teach Patty phonics.
Auntie Martha was so full of life and she shared it generously with others. She would end a perfect summer day in Radium Hot Springs, by forming a wildy growing conga line in the hot pool until the life guard would put an end to it. We'd go back to Uncle Steve's cabin tired, exhausted and full of exhillerating mountain air. Auntie Martha had no room in her life for boredom or sitting around. If she sensed any of that, she'd organized a trek up the mountain, just to see the world from a new perspective.
Even though we haven't maintained the close relationships of our childhood, we were comforted when Auntie Martha and Uncle Metro came to the memorial service when Larry was called to heavan. They told us that Karen had told them about it. We were so grateful she did.
Auntie Martha didn't seem to age. The last time we saw her she was beautifuuly dressed. She carried herself with dignity and sophistication and she was enjoying life to the fullest. We only knew Auntie Martha as an amazing aunt. We can well imagine what she meant to you as a wife, mother and grandmother. We are thinking about you and pray that Jesus will comfort you.

I met Martha 25 years ago at my wedding in Regina and I still remember her and her sisters cheerfully helping my mother- in-law Wasylia clean up after the gift opening. It was then that I had hoped to raise any daughters that I might have after these sisters. I ended up haveing 3 daughters of my own and Martha never failed to ask how they were when ever I saw her. She will be fondly remembered. Memory Eternal! Our deepest sympathies from Anna and Kevin Wasiluk and Girls
