Martha Camiccia Née George Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 30, 2025.
Martha "Marti" Camiccia, 86, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, while holding her daughter's hand. Born Martha George on September 25, 1938, in San Francisco, Marti dedicated her life to keeping a happy and loving home for her husband, Bob, and their children in Marin County. She graduated from San Rafael High School, the same as her mother and also her two daughters. She then spent time working for the County of Marin where she met Bob setting up the phone system at the courthouse. Suspiciously, whenever Bob worked, her phone seemed to break more frequently than anyone else's. It was love at first sight (or love after many broken phones).

Marti's greatest joy came from spending time with her family whether it be her husband and daughters or her many pets. During her lifetime, she loved and cared for her dogs, cats, a cockatoo named Taj and at one time even a pet skunk.

Marti spent decades of her life as a member of the Marin Rod & Gun Club. She enjoyed volunteering at events like the annual picnic and bingo, delighted in social events such as Friday potlucks, and was responsible for the beloved newsletter of the club for too many years to count. Her time was also filled with a love of travel and her more personal enjoyment of reading.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Gianetta and William, Giulietta and Sean, Christina and Dave, plus her many grandchildren. A celebration of Marti's life will be held on June 4th at the Marin Rod & Gun Club in San Rafael at 12:30.
