Ron and Maggie,

I am so glad I got to spend the day with you at Applefest and that you could all hang out at my Uncle Art's house. It was great to visit with Marti that day. She was such a loving and courageous person and I see that in Maggie too. My Mom Catherine was best friends with Grandma Doris and loved Marti too....they are in heaven together. Maggie, I hope you liked the cards from the kids in my class they were inspired by you to speak up for what they believe in. Love and prayers, Colleen Greene

Ron, Aunt Kathy, Grandma and Maggie; I pray that Christ wrap his loving arms around your family! None of us will ever forget the kind of "Marti Magic" she so easily brought to any gathering or conversation. So organized, so full of great ideas, and always prepared with a surprise gift to brighten your day. I don't know how she managed to be so considerate to so many people. Once, at the end of my workday, she brought my kids and me a home cooked chicken dinner, complete with biscuits that were out of this world! We still talk about that. One Christmas, Ron appeared at our door delivering presents for all of us. In my scrapbook, I have the card that Marti sent when my teasured German Shepard died. All of these warm gestures of love and caring, and I was only Maggie's preschool teacher! We have all been touched forever by her stamina, boundless energy, strength of character and her awesome capacity to care for others. And if I know Marti, she's already decked the halls, wrapped the gifts, and cooked the goose in her Heavenly Mansion. Gracious God in Heaven, reach in and help this family in their grief. We pray that you keep our minds and hearts focused on your will, so that we also may enter into your promise of eternal life. Hallelujah. Amen. With love and deepest sympathies,

Nante (Lori Myers)

Dear Maggie,

We are so sorry about the loss of your mom. I know how you feel as I loved my mom so much and she died when I was 25 from cancer. I was a nurse at St. Mary's in Peds too. I miss my mom still but I know what I did with my life made her proud.

We are all very proud of you for getting up at the school board meeting on Tuesday night and talking. Cali is in 3rd grade and Kaitie is in 2nd grade and Piedmont too. We will keep you and your dad in our prayers. Truly believe everything will be allright and it will be. Maggie You "Rock". With love,

Dear Ron,Maggie and all of your families, Please accept our deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved Marti.I worked with Marti on St. Mary's Peds many years ago along with Marie, Sue, Gretchen and Dayle, to name a few. Marti had a caring, loving heart which I'm sure she has passed along to Maggie. Enjoy and talk with each other about all the wonderful memories you share. Your Marti lives on in the hearts of the people whose lives she has touched. May God bless you as you struggle with the days to come.Sue and Kevin Robb

Dear Marti was my mentor when I returned to nursing. She was a welcoming presence to me as I learned my way around new and innovative Pediatric nursing skills after a 15 yr. absence. I will always remember Marti in her gentle and reassurring willingness to help me at this time in my life. May the Loving God of all healing now welcome Marti into her eternal home.
