We knew both Martha and Ed for over 40 years. Matha was always gentle and yet always adding to the conversation. Ed had a soft side as well, but enjoyed talking about his time in the trucking industry by recalling his experiences. We miss the both very much.

Aunt Martha was a special lady in our lives, many memories of pancake suppers, staying with her family for a week at a time every summer, her wonderful cooking, beautiful singing voice and lovely garden. Will always remember how gentle she was with babies and that she could rock them all to sleep with her special sweet way. She always had a smile and time for us. We loved her and rejoice that she is with Uncle Ed now.

Grandma Fid. Remembered for her infinite kindness, generosity, quilts, cabbage rolls, and raspberry jam. Used to talk about having chicken dumpling soup in Poland the night Hitler invaded, marrying the most handsome man in Barrhead (but not before "smooching" in a truck), and her nine favourite grandkids. I was lucky to be one of them.

Martha had the sweetest, most gentle spirit and I consider myself blessed to have known her. I had the privilege of hearing her share some of her childhood memories from Germany last year and will always fondly remember that.
