Every time I pass the Coady Coop, memories of Martha resurface. She was personification of both grace and fun. Her infectious sense of humour lifted the spirits of all she knew, while her deep faith, even while facing her health prognosis, inspired and encouraged me and the others who were privileged to know her. Heaven is richer for her presence, and I look forward to meeting her there one day.

Martha was my Manager for over 10 years, but most importantly she was a great person that I knew was always there for me. He laugh was infectious as was her sense of humor. Think of you often Martha. May you rest in peace.

I was a great friend of Martha's at Sir Robert Borden HS. Martha and her best friend Carol spent many an hour at my house in Barrhaven. I particularly remember Martha's quick sense of humor and her relaxed nature. Everyone liked Martha, hard not to. My sympathies go out to her family. I wished we had kept in touch after our high school days, she will be missed. Very sincerely Vicky Irvine(Rheaume)

The smile, the laugh, the wit and kind heart.
What a special pleasure to have had the opportunity in my life to know and love Martha and experience those amazing traits up close.
The chance to spend time in Martha's orbit and gather so many great memories was an absolute gift
The angels are in for a treat.

My condolences to Tom and Chris. Such a great lady and I have been so blessed and grateful to call her friend. One of my fondest memories of Martha was at my friends cottage and we were sitting in chairs down by the water. She was loving the breeze and sun and I could see her face just radiating beauty and peace. Martha is in that place again and will never have to endure pain again. Such a great lady. She sure loved her guys!

I met Martha at a Ladies Retreat at the Met. She openly shared with me several times about her faith and her love for her family and appreciation of their support. She continued to not focus on herself and wasn't bitter, even after she learned of her prognosis. She will be missed by many, I am sure. But she is whole and healthy and laughing again in Heaven.

Dear Tom, Chris and family,
Our most heartfelt sympathy to you at Martha's passing.
From the moment Martha joined our Woman to Woman morning group at the MET in 2010, she was a joy. Her gentle manner, combined with a great sense of humour and lovely laugh, lifted the spirits of all who were blessed to be in a group with her.
Even this Fall as her health waned, she faithfully contributed so much to the discussion at our table group. In a study entitled "The Grace Relationship", Martha showed incredible grace.
All of us who knew Martha found our lives richer as a result. Her radiant presence will live in our memories. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

To the family and friends of Martha.
I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Martha when I worked at NSERC/SSHRC, what I remember most is her laughter, Martha had an infectious laugh that could be heard clear across hall and that always made me smile! Those that knew her will remember her wonderful personality, warm smile and "that laugh". She will forever be remembered.
