Penny was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1960. She enjoyed camping and scenic car rides. Penny especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Daniel G. Hardy. Sr. of Dunkirk, whom she married on November 10, 1962, in the First Presbyterian Church, Dunkirk, six children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and was an aunt to many nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter Robin Hardy, a son Wesley Hardy and a sister Sara Jean Schmidt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tri-Church Parish, 41 East Main Street, Brocton, Saturday April 22, 2023 at 11 o'clock with pastor Clara Wilder, officiating. Interment will be in Cottage Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorials may be made to Sheridan Fire Dept., PO Box 122, Sheridan, NY 14135.
