Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

If you can imagine looking into someones eyes and seeing heaven, then you will know what it was like to look into my grandmother's eyes. They were so beautiful and filled with so much compassion. Her compassion came from the love in her heart she had for God. She was amazing. She was the joy of my life and the rock that kept our family together. She wasn't just my grandmother, she welcomed and fed every person that came through her door. My friends, were her friends.

As a child, one of my greatest childhood memories was on Sunday. Not only did she take me to church with her, but we would come home and all the family would gather and have dinner. You don't see much of that anymore, and that is sad.

She loved her family at Plasterco Church of God. She was so happy to go there and fellowship with all the members and many times I would hear her saying a prayer for her brothers and sisters in Christ. I don't think anyone was forgotten in her prayers....... from her chldren, grandchildren, great-gradchildren, my friends to the very people who had hurt her the most. She sought no retaliation. She told me to always put my trust in the Lord. Somewhere in the back of our mind and in the depth of our soul we will hang on to her love for Christ. That is her legacy to her family, knowing and being able to believe. She came from a generation of hard work and ethics.

She had a strong faith in God and she carried that with her until the end. Sometimes I would get into a healthy debate with her over her faith, and she never waivered. She would just smile at me and say, "I know you know better." (Because she taught me better). Her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was amazing. She loved and was proud of each and everyone of us.

I don't know if I could ever fill her shoes, her compassion, her love for life, her love for Christ, but I can tell you this, she certainly was the wind beneath my wings. She will be the guardian angel that walks with each of us in the days ahead. She is at peace now, and I know that one day I will see her again in Heaven.

Granny, I love you and I am at peace knowing that where ever you are, you know that So, wait for me.

Granny always had a smile on when i would visit her. She would make me laugh when she would say something funny during a conversation. My fondest memories as a child where going to grannys on Christmas and being with Granny,Lester, and the family. That was always a special time of year when we got together at grannys. Granny was so loving especially to children. I will charish the memories forever and will miss her very much.
