Martin Taylor, 37, was married to Katrina Spring and lived in Waverley Road, West Reading.
He worked at Imperial Travel in Richfield Avenue where he had been a travel adviser for seven years.
His brother was aged 35.
Mr McNamara did temp work at Imperial Travel and is reported to have suffered partial paralysis. But doctors expect him to recover.
A statement released by Thames Valley Police on behalf of the family, said: “It is with tremendous grief and sadness but I can confirm that Martin and Gareth Taylor passed away last week whilst on a holiday to Vietnam.
“Martin’s wife, their families, and friends are shocked and devastated to hear this news and would ask that you respect their privacy at this difficult time.”
Jim Lucy, manager at Imperial Travel, told the Evening Post Martin would be sorely missed and that he had been one of the most popular members of staff at the company.
He said: “Martin was a friend as well as a colleague and everyone here is finding this terrible news extremely difficult to deal with.
“He was a valued member of staff and in fact our longest serving member of staff, and one of the most popular.
“We will miss him dearly and we are all thinking of his family at this time.”
Nicki Hale, a friend from New Zealand, emailed the Evening Post, commenting: “I cannot find words to say how shocked and numb we all feel with the news of such a tragic loss.
“We have known Gareth and Martin since they were small boys and our hearts and thoughts go out to their whole family.”
A Foreign Office spokesman said: “Two British nationals have died and another is currently in hospital. We are providing assistance to their families.”

Martin and Gareth - My next door neighbours. I am still numb with disbelief, my sympathies goes out to Kat and the rest of the family.
One of the last things you guys did was to cut down the big tree !!! the irony of that.
It will never be the same again looking over the fence and not seeing those 2 fun filled guys bounding around and enjoying life. It was a pleasure to have known you both. Everything has fallen silent in the garden. So very tragic................
May god bless you both . T
