We live 3 doors down, and while it was Mom & Dad's house, I still knew Martin. I have been staying here since Dad and Mom passed.

Just days before Martin's passing I had the chance to visit him in his home. Martin was telling me a story about why the Knights of Colum got started. His version of course.
I am proud to say his legacy as 4th degree Knight will live on in the fact that he donated his sword, sash and gloves to me.

My first memory was when he used to wear the 4th degree uniform with the plume and cape and would participate in things at St. Theresa.

So sorry to hear of Martin's passing. I am sure the Lord welcomed him with open arms. As neighbors of Martin, he always stopped his car if he saw us working outside to say hello and chat. We will always remember his kindness.

We went to Germany and Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia) to visit family and important areas to the Martin & Cathy's. Tom drove a huge manual transmission van everywhere. Since there are no road signs Martin would often tell Tom to just go past only to have him attempt to turn around the van in an impossible area.
Martin always called scarves shawls which Harper and I giggled endlessly about.
I will miss him endlessly. He was such an important part of our lives. He was always there when we needed him whether it was to fix something, provide advise, or to be there for special moments.
