Martin L. Hoffman

I never met Martin Hoffman, though I wish I had gotten to. I know him from his academic work, which has had an incredible impact on many who study empathy and moral development, including myself. We often say that modern researchers stand on the shoulders of giants. As a young scholar, Martin Hoffman has been that giant for me. Martin's work has had a lasting impact on many researchers and families.

I send my condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
