**Martin Kessler**
October 19, 1935 - April 8, 2024
Martin Kessler, a quiet and strong man who always put family first, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Melville, NY. He was a devoted husband to Syma Kessler for 67 years and a successful businessman who started his own businesses in the garment center. Martin was a man of few words, but his words carried significant weight. He was known for his ability to fix anything in the home and for building intricate and beautiful dollhouses for his granddaughters and great-granddaughter. His passion for gardening, stock trading, and being with his family brought him immense joy.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Syma Kessler, his children Nina and Lyle Goodheart, Jeffrey Kessler, and Mark Kessler, his grandchildren Sarah, Jonathan, Eric, Emily, Toby, Lily, and Ryan, and his great-granddaughters Hannah and Olivia. He is preceded in death by his mother Rose Kessler, father Samuel Kessler, brother Murray Kessler, and sister Anita Annenberg.
A funeral service will be held at Gutterman's Funeral Home, 175 North Long Beach Rd., Rockville Centre, 11570, at 2pm. Contributions in Martin's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will be sitting shiva on Wednesday after the funeral at the Kessler home and on Thursday and Sunday at the home of Nina and Lyle Goodheart.
