Dr. Levine was my Engineering math professor in 1981. He taught me much more than algebraic manipulation and I will always be grateful for having been one of his students. Peace be with his family.

It was with deepest sorrow I read this notice and his family has my sympathy.
I took classes from Dr Levine in 1979 and regard him as one of the greatest mathematicians I have ever met. He always taught you to think out of the box because if you always conformed to the norm you would miss the important.
