Can it have been 10 years? It seems as if we had spoken just a little while ago. Some people you never really forget; " they, like old soldiers never die... fishermen just sail away." Fair winds Marty!

I am SO sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I just found out today and I am heartbroken. He was only a part of my life for a few short months, but he touched my heart and soul in many ways and I will miss him terribly. I feel blessed to have been able to be a part of this precious man's life. My prayers are with you all. Please stay in touch.

Mr. Manley was such a kind and generous
person. He loved telling stories of his
family. He was such a proud father and
grandfather. I will miss all the laughs we had together. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

Marty was one of the best known and knowledgeable figures on the waterfront. He helped to shape New Bedford, and he will be missed. Our sympathy to the Manley family at this difficult time,

Mr. Manley was the greatest Redevelopment Authority Executive Director for the city of New Bedford. He was my greatest adversary. He also was a great personal friend to me.
