To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Although I did not know you for long, I truly enjoyed working with you. I will always remember coming in for a day shift with FRANK's Doughnuts and the smile that would come over your face. You always told me how happy I made you because I always come in early for my shift. I will miss working with you and your calming voice whenever you spoke with staff. May you rest in peace my friend.

My memories of my uncle Billy are all of great and fun times. He told me ghost stories years ago that still have me chicken today. Years ago he wanted a hot dog stand and made up the coolest pens with the name hot diggitty dogs. He was always great at naming things and the most embarrassing name was Junior. That was his nickname for me. He once had a red fiero car he loved and would make me wash it and wax it to his perfection and pay me change but I was a child and candy at the store across the road was a penny. So a bag full of candy and I was happy. There are so many great memories that I will always cherish. It has been a shock to learn of his death and he will be missed greatly by all who have known him. My only wish would have been able to say goodbye. God only takes the best and he was by far the best. I will miss you Billy!

Bill was a great person. I have read all the entries about how great a person Bill was...and he really was. I have had the opportunity to work with Bill as well...and his genuine smile, true kindness and big heart will always be remembered. He will be replaced but no one will be able to fill his shoes. He is sadly missed

It was a sad morning for me today as I walked into work knowing I'll never see Bill there waiting for me again. Bill always had a smile for everyone regardless of what was going on. I loved hearing his laugh and seeing the sparkle in his eyes when he was talking about his dogs or a vacation he was planning and excited about. There are no words that can describe how much you will be missed, Bill

I have known Billy since the early 1970's when he was about seven years old. His sister and I got married in 1974 and he has been a part of our lives ever since. He has always been straightforward and excelled in whatever tasks he has chosen. He was very committed to his work. He was not only my Brother in law but also a good friend. His family and I will miss him greatly.

Bill was gentle soul with a smile and kind words for any and everyone he met. I am deeply saddened by his passing. I will treasure the memories that I have of working with Bill over the last 13 years. I know that I am a better person for having the opportunity to know him, for the lessons of life he taught by example and for the inspiration he was as a person. May God Bless you forever, Bill...................Fondly, Jackie

Billy was a wonderful man, no doubt about it. He was my uncle. He always had great and amazing stories to tell me. He loved to tell scary stories and he was gifted at that. He was very smart and funny. I will miss him very much. He was a great man and his place in heaven is well deserved. I hoped that the next time I seen him would have been fun filled and great like all times with him, instead of sorrowful. But I know that the best way to honor my uncle is not to grieve over his death but to celebrate his life. Love and peace to you all.

Thank all of you for your kind and touching words about my dear brother Billy. I am just one of three sisters and a niece that came to Maine to bring my Brother and his beloved dogs back home to Virginia. Sadly we only retrieved four of his five dogs. We have Boo, Buddy, Lil Bit, and Maybeline, and this is thanks to a co-worker of his named Cindy and another co-worker who I'm sorry to say I dont have the name of. But thanks a million. I pray someone has found Mary Kay who was lost during this tragedy. If you have found her please take good care of her, all of Billys dogs were treated as family and as his only children. A grave side service will be held here tomorrow for my brother. I will take pictures of his dogs and post them here as soon as everything calms down, and I will be returning to Maine ASAP to settle matters that were left undone and to get answers to many unanswered questions. Love and peace to you all.

I had the blessing of working with Bill on a few occaisions. He was the kind of person that one could not miss as his smile and gentle spirit had a commanding presence. He was a role model to many simply by being himself. There will be no void because he has left such a lasting impression.

To Bill's family. He was such a joy of a person. He is considered a friend, neighbor, mentor, teacher to many. He came to our family when we were in need, became an important part of my brother's lives that I could never put into words. We considered him as part of our family. A generous, loving, caring and humorous person, his personality could be matched by no other. We will miss him very much. Bill you have earned your place up in heaven. Rest my friend.

To Bill's sisters: I will miss Bill very much. He always was a joy to speak to, and had a smile for me. I saw him a lot when he was headed home in the morning and I was headed into the hospital. We laughed about who looked the most tired! I'll miss Bill.

It means so much to see the warm messages left here for my uncle. He was dedicated to his work, and also to his friends. Billy was there for me in so many ways. He was a truly caring and deeply feeling person and it is very difficult to let him go so suddenly. He is deeply missed.

Bill was a man who was kind, compassionate and loving. He was a gentleman in all situations. When Bill worked with a patient I always knew that patient would get the best of care. I am so saddened that he has had to leave us so young and with no chance to say good-bye. I will miss him. I will never forget him.

My heart hurt when I heard of Bill's passing. He was a fine person...always smiling . We shared a special bond and I appreciated his support and encouragement . He will be greatly missed. Rest well......

I am so saddened by the loss of Bill. He was a dear friend and valued co-worker to many. His time was cut short here on earth but I know that he is in a kinder, gentler place now watching over all the people in his life. I only wish that we could say good bye and let him know just how much he was admired and appreciated. His smiling face and gentle words will be missed.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

William "Bill" will be sadly missed by all his friends at Acadia Hospital. We wish that we could have had a chance to say Good-Bye to you one last time. I will miss you for sure not to see your happy face every morning when I come in at 6am to start my work day. I will also miss you for the great person that you are. The heavens are very lucky to have a special man as yourself amongst them.
Rest in peace Bill as we will never forget you.
