Martin Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 6, 2024.
Obituary:

Martin Edward "Marty" Miller, 61, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas. Marty was born on January 28, 1963, to Marion L and David L Miller. He is survived by his mother, Marion L Miller, his brother, Steve Miller (Debbie), sister Brenda Bunn (David), and his "twin" sister (born a year apart), Sheryl LeJeune (Filiatreau). Marty is also survived by nieces, nephews, an aunt, many cousins, and was especially close to his cousin Helen Morek.

Marty was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp. He cherished his time in the military and served with honor.

In spite of his struggles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, Marty was described as an amazing human being with a heart of gold. He loved fishing, his family, and his time in the military. Those who knew him will always remember his kindness and strength. Marty managed to get on Ancestry and found some long lost family members. Marty and Thomas Weiderhold, a cousin he located on Ancestry, formed a special bond as they shared stories of their times in various branches of the military, along with their unique senses of humor..

Marty's passing is preceded by his maternal grandmother, Helen Johnson, maternal grandfather, Martin Johnson, paternal grandfather Charles E Miller, and a nephew and niece.

The world is forever changed without Marty, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

Love you so very much Baby Bro/Marty lol...life without you is not easy...losing the only person in my life that truly understood exactly how I was feeling seems unbearable...I am so looking forward to the day when we'll be together again for eternity...I know you're with Dad and Gram and John and Beth-E-Boo and Ben and you're all fellowshipping with God and singing praises to him...I am thankful that you are finally at peace...you couldn't find it on this planet, but have found it in Heaven...love you beyond measure...love you with all my heart and soul.
