I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to the Schlesinger family on their lose. It was a great gift just to know Bob! His mentoring me as an Old Man not only with Armature Radio but coal, chemistry, politics and community involvement provided me with the basis for which I live life. I will miss the great discussions we had on these subjects and always enjoy the memories of being welcomed by Janet and Bob into there home. 73’s !

I want to express my depest sympathy to the family. I thought of Bob as a friend. When I was in charge of the City of Pittsburgh Amateur Radio station I consulted often with Bob. I will miss him very much. If I can help in any way with the radio equipment, please email me.

My husband David and I are deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We knew him from our mutual membership in the Greater Pittsburgh VHF Society and his many years as Allegh. Co. coordinator for amateur radio emergency services. We will always remember his goodness and enthusiasm.
