Martin Stoffman Obituary
Born in Winnipeg Manitoba to Nathan and Rose Stoffman. Martin graduated Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 1968, where he worked for Klein Dashevsky, before moving to Calgary. He later started the design/ build company LARMCO where he continued his professional career, working on many recognizable buildings in the city. Martin took pride in his work and practiced with integrity, acting as a mentor and an example of professionalism throughout his career and personal life. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing golf and baseball, and always found time for his many friends, especially his chicken club gang.
Above all, he enjoyed the fruits of his labour. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he took immense pleasure in every moment shared. From story time to math homework, he created many memories and passed along his values, strength and determination as a legacy to the next generations.
Martin is survived by his loving wife Carole, children Jayson (Margriet), Sharla (Malcolm Jubinville), and Daniel (Miranda), grandchildren Jaqui, Scarlett, Alex, Sara, Noah, Ethan, and Emily, brother and sister-in-law Rick and Bonney Pollick, and his nephews Adam (Harmony) and Aaron (Paula).
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 10:30 am, at Temple B'nai Tikvah, located at 900 47 Avenue SW. A graveside service will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Martin's honour.
Special thank you to the nurses and staff on unit 94 at the Rockyview General Hospital and to Dr. Munaa Kareemi for his exceptional care and caring.

I am so sad to hear of Marty's passing... Life is not fair!
Marvin and I have only good memories of Marty - his energy, integrity, - truly a a mensch.

I just learned of Martin's passing.
I interacted with him many years ago volunteering our time with community projects like the House of Jacob.
He was a wonderful , kind and generous man and I respected him greatly. My sympathies to his family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear about Marty , please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I only met Marty a few times , but I was struck by what an upbeat friendly man he was . I am sure you are blessed with many happy memories of him that you will cherish forever
