Marvin Lee ALEXANDER

I was in the military when Marvin was growing up. I knew he played basketball and was the guy that got the ball when his team needed a clutch shot. After mothers funeral I heard him say to his mother (my sister) ' Dont worry, I'll take care of it'. That got my attention. I was also impressed with his buttoned down collars. I never liked them. He had character and was devoted to his mother. Miss you Marvin. John Alexander (West Monroe, La).

It's been 5 mounts now. The pain and sorry is still there but we are all moving along with our lives just as you would want. We manage pretty well most of the time, but the pain is so close to the surface that some time all it takes is for some one to say your name. This pain helps to sustain our faith because going to Heaven is the only way we can ever see you again.

Everyday when I opened up my email there was always an inspiration message on life,salvation,and God from Marvin. Those messages got me through some tough times.I enjoyed all the times we would visit each other with our families. Irma and Jazmin know that God is in control and this is a season for all of us. Marvin, I have never met you, but used to be jealous of all the family trips and events that you, Irma and Jazmin experienced. I received many a text from your family and felt like I was part of your experiences. You are blessed to have a wonderful family and they are blessed to have been part of your family.

The smile, that smile of Marvin's. Not once during the years I have known Marvin did he ever lose sight of his faith. He was always a bright star in our day. His amazing love for his Irma and Jazmin were something to be admired. He was their biggest fan. Rest in heavenly eternal peace Mr. Alexander, you brightened out world and made it a better place because of you in it. To his wonderful wife and daughter, may peace be upon you. Hugs, Becky.

It was always a pleasure taking care of Marvin throughout the years. The ups and downs were many but Marvin had a positive spirit that always carried him through. I have often referred to that spirit when talking with other patients who have needed encouragement. His whole life revolved around his love for Irma and "Jazzy" and he talked about them often. He will be missed by all.

Irma, Jazmin and family, my most deepest condolences. May the Lord give you strength and peace in a time like this. Marvin is now looking down on us, with that beautiful smile.

Irma and Jazmin may God give you comfort doing this time of sorrow. Marvin got his wings and is enjoying seeing our Grandmother and Aunt and Uncles. We love you!

Marvin, my nephew, you fought a great battle and remained humble to the end. Never wavering in your faith in God and always being grateful for his blessings, and even though you suffered more than most you accepted God's will for your life and did the best you could.

In the last days God prepared you for the end so you could welcome the sting of death, and although you had to leave behind your loving wife and daughter, it is through them that you will live on, and the memory of you shall never die.

Marvin will be missed by everyone in VA HemoDialysis Unit...he's always happy guy everytime he comes to our unit and greet everyone "GOOD MORNING " He calls me "Neighbor" with a big smile in his face...we'll miss you Marvin "LAKERS FAN"...may your soul rest in peace.
