Marvin Daniel Carter, Jr., passed away on June 16, 2023. He was born in
Dayton, OH, on May 16, 1937, to Marvin Daniel Carter, Sr. and Mary Pauline
Carter.

He was a proud Veteran of the Air Force, had a 27-year career with the FAA
as an Air Traffic Controller, owned 3 Dry Cleaners (Carter's Cleaners) in
Bradenton, FL and finished his working career as the Range Command Officer
at the Avon Park, FL Air Force Bombing Range.

He is predeceased by his wife, Sharon B. Carter (Armstrong); his parents,
Marvin Daniel Carter, Sr. and Mary Pauline (Osborn) Carter; he is survived
by his sons, Michael Robert (Jodi) Carter of Parrish, FL, Steven Daniel
Carter of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter, Deborah Colleen (Brian) Julien; 8
grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 3 great grandchildren and 2 step
great-grandchildren.

Dan was a Life Member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He
was a prominent member of Elk's Lodge 1530 in Lakewood, OH and served 17
years as Secretary along with several committees at Bradenton Lodge 1511,
he was just a great presence at Lodge 1511. In his free time, he enjoyed
fishing and bowling. As Elk's say- "THERE WILL BE THE VACANT
CHAIR"..."still our hearts his memory bear".

His Legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, great
grandchildren and many friends. You will be forever Loved and missed Dan!

Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 AM, with Services following at 11:30 AM,
Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd
Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL, 34209. Graveside
Services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, June 28 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Celebration of Life will be 5:30 PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Bradenton
Elks Lodge 1511, 2511 75th Street West, Bradenton, FL, 34209. Condolences
may be made to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.

Dan used to come into our flower shop every single Saturday to buy a rose in memory of Sharon. Warms my heart that they are together again. He was a good, kind man. May he rest in peace.
