We are sad to hear of the death of our Uncle Marvin. We have wonderful memories of him joking and laughing with us. He loved sharing police stories with his nieces and nephews.
Marsha and Michael, your love for your dad and his love for you was obvious.
Aunt Rose, you have been such a great example for so many, because we have seen your love through your constant care for Uncle Marvin.
We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the service on Saturday. We have a previous commitment that is out of town.
We will be thinking and praying for you and the rest of the family.

To everyone who has called, emailed etc expressing what a wonderful person Marvin was, as his only surviving brother, I would like to say that he
played an extremely meaningful role, especially in my early life, as our father died when I was but 6 years old, and he was only 11. We milked the cows and did a lot of other daily chores before and after school, to keep the family together. He always had the utmost respect for our mother, Mrs Sally Ellison ( Phillips) for as long as I can remember.

I know that my only surviving sister, Mrs Monroe Davis ( Mary Ruth) joins me in saying thanks to everyone for all your kind thoughts during this difficult time.

Now to Marvin's widow, Rose, your devotion, love and attention to his needs, especially during these last few months was just wonderful.

To his children, Michael & Marsha, thanks for your love and devotion.
