Severson Marvin C., age 71, of Bloomington. Preceded in death by wives, Dolores Severson and Grace McGinniss. Survived by very special friend, Sharon Hilbert; children, Mary (Darren) Larson, Les Severson, John (Rene) Severson, Sandy (Chuck) Thayer and Judy (Tom) Spitale; and 7 grandchildren. He grew up in Eau Claire, WI; served in the Navy as Petty Officer First Class aboard the U.S.S. Wright during the Korean War. Worked as a civil engineer and retired from the University of Minnesota. Memorial Mass 11 AM, Friday, September 19 at St. Leonard of Port Maurice Catholic Church, 3949 Clinton Ave S., Mpls., 55409. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the church. Cremation Society of MN Edina 952-924-4100

Marvin is a 2nd cousin of mine. I will always remember what a great dad he was to his kids. Always had a smile and sense of humor.
