Dear Kay, I will always cherish my talks with Marv. No matter who was helping me at the counter, Marv always stopped by to say hi. To find out if I was still dancing with my bride, and to ask how things were at the power plant. Always a gentleman and a friend.

Marv always greeted me with a big grin, he loved what he did. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

For many years Marv generously donated vehicles to us at Fire Station 96 to practice our "Jaws of Life" skills. We will never forget his contributions to public safety. -Buzz Smith, for FS 96.

Marv, you will be missed by all us Cruiser folks. I remember buying FJ40 parts from you long before SOR began. I was so happy that you were at the PMC car show this last year where I had my FJ40 entered and you and Kay stopped by to chat. You will always be remebered everytime I start my FJ40 to go out wheeling. RIP brother.

I can't believe Marv is gone. He was bigger than life itself. I first started coming to SOR in 1990. I've had 3 FJ60's since that time and Marv has been instrumental in keeping them all running and looking good. But it was Marv's personality, his witty sense of humor, and his generosity that impressed me even more than the volume of great parts he procured with SOR. He remembered my name and knew the business I was in. He could turn a phrase and look at me sideways to see if I picked up on his double entendre. He made me laugh and he made me a friend. There was no one like Marv, and I will miss him greatly.

I have owned a Land Cruiser since high school (1983) and that's when I first met Marv. He was an amazing man. He will truly be missed.

Marvin and Kay are "Life personified", dynamic, authentic, genuinely kind and caring, and a true blessing to humanity. Heaven has gained a loving angel, it is our privilege to have bumped hearts. Our hearts and prayers are with you now and always, Kay and family.

I was a tenant of Marv and Kays for about seven years. Both of which were/are always kind and generous people. As busy as Marv was he still would take time to catch up or help if needed. When I met my wife to be she and I were short on money for our reception Marv(and Kay) offered their house up for our guest party. At another point in my life I had an excess of engines on hand and Marv says, "Come by the shop, I have something you need." And so he donates a small forklift to use. On top of that he/they tolerated my auto nonsense. Would have liked to have seen him again to say thanks. Thanks Kay, hope we can see you soon.

Marv will truly be missed.

He had an unbelievably huge positive impact on a countless number of people. Marv treated all as though they had been friends for a lifetime.

My condolences to the Spector and SOR families.

Kay in this sad and trying time may God give you the strength you need.
