I worked with Marv for 8 years, as I wind down my career, he was one of the best people I have ever worked with, very kind, very knowledgeable, always there to help you or give you good advice. I will always remember how he would take breaks sitting in his car smoking a cigar in front of the office suite where we worked.

I've known Marv since 1976, when he worked for Farinon Electric. I have to relay a story that typifies Marv's attitude and personality. Sometime about 1979, I was requested to attend an FCC meeting in Washington, D.C. for Farinon. I was flying back to the Bay Area late midweek, with a connecting flight in Chicago. I was supposed to arrive about 9 to 10 at night, so Marv volunteered to pick me up at the SFO airport. Well bad weather and a broken DC10 caused so many delays that I arrived about 4:00 AM the next morning. Marv was there to pick me up. Then he insisted that he take me home to get a little rest before going into the office. He wouldn't think of taking me to a motel! The next morning Claudia fixed me breakfast and off we went to work.
Most coworkers know how tenacious he was about his work. I will never forget his honesty and desire to do the right thing.

I shall dearly miss my good friend Marvin. It saddens me knowing my special moments that we shared will no longer be but fond memories. Marvin taught me a great deal and it makes me smile as I remember his great enjoyment gleaned from sharing his knowledge with young people and adolescents while at Lake Almanor. I reflect on the wonderful discussions Claudia, Marvin and I had on so many Saturdays.
I know you're no longer with us Marvin, but I cherish your friendship and wanted you to know.

I worked with Marv for 12 years at N. Marshall and Associates. He was brilliant and had the knack of never making you feel less than. He loved a glass of wine and hunting for mushrooms. He had a great sense of adventure. He was so proud of Sarah and loved to talk about what she was accomplishing. Marv was a 49er fan. He was the nicest guy and I treasure the years I worked with him. He was one of a kind. Rest in peace my friend.
