It's been 13 years since Mary's Passing...I think of her often, We first met through her brother Nick (My 65') classmate...She was always warm, friendly and mature beyond her years... We dated off and on in High School and after.. She was always supportive and Positive and her letters got me through my Navy tour in Vietnam. We would meet occasionally when I attended at the Chicago Dental Convention in Feb. I always felt I was a better person for having Mary as a friend. She will be Missed.

Mary was a classmate of mine at Valpo Law. I was saddened to see in an alumni publication that she had passed away. My heart goes out to you and her friends at the loss of a woman who for three years was a great friend to 150 classmates.

To the Anast Family,

I am sorry for our loss of Mary.
She was in most of my classes at Emereson H.S. We graduated together. Her family lived on Deleware St., just across the park from my family's 652 Connecticut St. house.

She was always kind, considerate and never had a bad word about anyone.

May God bless her and her family with comforting memories of a beautiful and talented woman.

Sincerely,

Emerson Class of 1966

My sympathy to the Anast family and all Mary's friends. I was a 'suite-mate' of Mary's our freshman year at IU...she always amazed me...she was brilliant, and charming...and had such a way with languages...your mother, Kiki, always said that Mary and Nick both spoke 'bad' Greek...too many English words were thrown in. I lost my husband of 35 years to a heart attack on November 24, 2007...so I understand what you are going through. My prayers are with you at this time..she will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
