I first met MaryAnn right after Carolyn had her heart surgery. New to Winnetka, my daughter Jena wanted to visit Carolyn. Worried that might be too much, MaryAnn assured me it would be great for Carolyn. And it was, not only Jena and Carolyn became lifelong friends, I made a lifelong friend as well. She helped me get into a home when it was a difficult time in my life. She was so nonjudgemental and sweet, just what a friend should be. To the family, find peace quickly in the joy of all the great memories. Joanne Straughn
