To MA's Family,
MA was family to us. We met her in Newport shortly after her marriage to Patrick, and our friendship grew through the years. She was our son Brooke's godmother and was a co-worker and mentor to our daughter Eliza during her time at the Conference Board, and a trusted confidante to them both. MA visited us in Newport and Palm Beach, and traveled a great distance to attend confirmations, graduations, and share quality time together. She was Auntie MA in our family, and I often told her that she was the sister that I never had. I cannot think of a more generous and thoughtful person. She never forgot a birthday and went overboard at Christmas. MA loved baseball and every summer she bought tickets for she and Brooke to attend a Red Sox game. In typical MA fashion, they always had great seats, a belly full of hotdogs and he came home with the latest t-shirt. A class act through and through. She had a beautiful smile, and infectious laugh and wrote the best thank you notes! We intentionally kept our distance during the Covid years and respected her concern to keep Del healthy and safe. She was so devoted to taking care of Del, and she told me that she wanted to make this past Christmas extra special for her mom. It is so hard to believe that it was in fact MA's last Christmas. I am so grateful that Eliza and Brooke took the train from the city the Sunday before Christmas and spent a lovely afternoon with MA and Del.
She was taken away much too soon, and I hope she knows how much she is missed. May she rest in peace.
Sending our love and condolences to the family.

dear del, eddie, susie and mike golden:

i am truely saddened by the unexpected loss of such a loving and glowing lady such as ma;

knew her casually thru my parents friendship with del and corky; everytime i bumped into one of your family it was always positive and upbeat;

i spent 30plus years in selling telecom services and ma was truly respected as a strategic thinker and great closer on big deals; she had a magical way with people.

in these times of heartbreak, what else can we do but put our faith in the lord and trust he knows what best for each of us; i truely believe that all kindred souls will be together again in the fullnees of time.

i would feel humbled and honored to attend the celebration of life catholic services for ma where we can all reflect on the gift of her in everyones heart forever.

This is sad and shocking news about Mary Ann. She was a very popular classmate in the GHS class of '75 and will really be missed at future class reunions. My condolences to her immediate family and to her many friends she leaves behind.

Dear Del and Family,
My first trip from White Plains to Old Greenwich was as a teenager specifically to shop at The Village Ewe which I found in the yellow pages. I fell in love with all of Old Greenwich and moved there once I was married. MA's shop was and is the best needlepoint shop I've ever found, and I still work with them even now, from Florida! MA was the best at kitting new canvases and was always a pleasure to visit. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Dear Sheehan Family - I'm very sorry to hear about Mary Ann's passing. She was always an upbeat pleasure to see back to our days at GHS. I would see her in Old Greenwich when my parents shop was next door to her and would catch up on the latest. God bless her!

I met Mary Ann through my younger sister Laurie when they were classmates at Dundee Elementary School - even at that young age Mary Ann radiated joy and you felt happy just being in her presence. I met up with her years later at The Village Ewe and once again was captivated by her exuberant yet genuine personality. There are some extraordinarily beautiful souls in this world and I count MaryAnn as one of them.

To Mrs. Sheehan and family - I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in knowing that Mary Ann´s heart and essence touched everyone who had the good fortune to know her.

Rest in heavenly peace Dear Mary Ann, and thanks for the privilege of knowing you.
