Dear Bud and Family-All of the ladies from the Women's Amateur International Tennis group here in Los Altos, California, send their heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. We are all so saddened by Mary Ann's death but are remembering all the fun, the laughs and the good food we shared during our tennis visit. Those memories will live on forever. Many of us also have a part of Mary Ann with us in that she shared her pottery with us. She was a wonderfully warm, caring and fun person. She will be missed by so many of us. May you take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and no longer suffering. Our love, thoughts and prayers to all of you. The WAIT Group

Dear Bud and Girls,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I have been reflecting on so many memories of working with Mary Ann and Ms. Dixie at the store. We certainly had some fun times together. And I was so lucky to have had her as my mentor during my provisional year of Junior League. What a great lady to have worked along side of. My prayers are with you all.

Mary Ann was one of my "big sisters" when I pledged Alpha Delta Pi in the Fall of 1961. I remember her kindness and the guidance she gave me during our time together in college. She served as a role model for me and everyone who came in contact with her...always the perfect young woman. My heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends.

I am so sorry. Mary Ann was a gift and a joy. She organized some of the best receptions that the McNeese Banners Series ever gave, and I could have spent all day listening to her as she considered one creative idea after another. Everything she touched was beautiful. I have her pottery all over my house and I use the pieces every day. I treasure them. I hope your friends and your church bring your family comfort.

Mary Ann was one of my favorite people. She was a kind, generous, and very loving lady. I knew her from the sorority, but got to know her better thru my dad, Joe Palermo (LC). They did ceramics together at McNeese for many years. My dad thought so much of MaryAnn and was so sorry to hear of her passing. He, too, has been dealing with cancer this past year and regrets that he did not get to visit with her lately. Bud, I'll never forget how you made Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary trip to Las Vegas so special. I often would run into Mary Ann at Tuesday Morning or the grocery store and we would have such a good visit! I'll think of her often as I have many pieces of her beautiful pottery, she was my favorite, along with my dad, of course! She is probably teaching all the angels how to create wonderful things from dust! Know that all of you are in my prayers and may God's graces pour out upon you as you cope with the loss of your very special Mary Ann.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs Viator, here I go calling her that old habit. She was my teacher in high school at St. Charles Academy and was responsible for getting me out of being shy. After having her as a teacher the word shy or speaking in front of a crowd was not in her vocabulary. When I would see her after graduation and would call her Mrs Viator she waould say to me I could call her Mary Ann. It just did not seem proper to do so. I will miss seeing her out and about when we would run into each other. My thoughts and prays are with you all, but I know she is in Heaven and has her debate team already in place.

Every morning, it's the same ritual....coffee in my favorite Mary Ann mug. I will miss her but am fairly confident she's already heading up a pottery session in heaven! Thanks Bud, Mandy, Anna Catherine and Joel for sharing her with all of us these past few weeks.
