MaryAnn I met you via the Florida Trail Association; David & I loved and trusted you instantly! You went on to become our most ardent supporters of the newly founded Wilderness Trekkers organization, serving 10 years in its leadership, leading numerous hikes. You were always so logical, generous w/your smile and unbelievable knowledge! I remember our last meet up as David & I prepared to retire to NC. I'm just so sorry we never met up again. See you in heaven my precious friend. I know you and David have some wonderful memories to share. Love you, Kim

My heart... I grew up next to this amazingly wonderful woman. I´m so thankful for the summers she and I shared at camp. She got me my first job working at the camp too.. this woman is the reason I have so much love and compassion for nature. I´ll forever be thankful for the times she let me hang out at her house in the evening up till the news came on, then I had to head home. You´ll always be in my heart thank you for being so beautiful

Miss Freyer was my science teacher at Glenridge. I have wonderful memories of her class, how she made the subject interesting and relevant. (My mother, Margaret Vickers, also taught at Glenridge and was a good friend of Miss Freyer's.) I was impressed reading her obituary about all the environmental organizations Miss Freyer was involved with. She definitely made a positive impact on her students and on the world around her. Sincerely, Nancy Vickers Constant

I am sad to read of Ms. Freyer´s passing. She was my science teacher in 8th grade at Glenridge. When I became a teacher myself, her example was always before me: Have fun, be positive, and provide visual and hands-on learning opportunities. Her dust explosion demonstration was unforgettable! I will always admire her for not only her teaching but also her strength and confidence. My condolences to her family.
