Mary Bedini Obituary
The wife of the late Mario "Malo" Bedini, Mrs. Bedini was born in Norwalk, Nov. 7, 1923, daughter of Dominic and Lillie (Sturges) Arena. She was raised in Norwalk and attended Norwalk schools and moved to Ridgefield in 1945.
A resident of Ridgefield for the past sixty-one years prior to moving to Danbury in October 2006, she was a member of the Italian American Ladies Mutual Aid Society, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and of St. Mary's Church of Ridgefield.
A daughter, Jeannette L. Bedini of Danbury with whom she made her home, two sons: Michael L. Bedini of Newtown and William J. Bedini and his wife, Darlene of Bradenton, Fla.; two brothers: George Arena of Norwalk and William Arena of Rowayton and a sister, Dorothy Smiley of Stamford, survives her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Ridgefield. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield, will be private. The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Visiting Nurse Association, 90 East Ridge, Ridgefield, CT 06877.
