Mary M. Blank

On Friday, April 28, 2023, Mary M. Blank (Doe) passed away at the age of 75 years. Mary was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont in 1948 to Charles and Mildred Doe and graduated from the Bellows Falls High School in 1966. Mary moved to Connecticut but returned in 1983 with her two children when her mother became ill. On November 17, 1990, she married her devoted husband Allan W. Blank and lived many years in New Hampshire. They ultimately returned to Bellows Falls, the town that she loved, to take up residence on a street that she held dear.

Mary had a passion and appreciation for design, writing and gardening. She loved to collect antiques. Mary leaves behind beautiful gardens, well-thought-out spaces, and boxes of journals that her daughters look forward to reading. She was a talented organizer who shared that skill with the Marlow Historical Society and Show Decorations, an events business that she owned with her husband.

However, most of all, she knew how to appreciate the small things in life-a cup of coffee at Cafe Loco, unusual crockery, Keylime pie, and lavender quiche. We will miss her talents, wit, sarcasm and enthusiasm immensely.

Mary is survived by her husband Allan, her daughters, Liz Morgan of Oxfordshire, UK and Patricia Adams of Bellows Falls VT as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
