Mary Jane Chavez age 54 of Dyer, IN. passed away on April 30th in Chicago, IL. Mary Jane is survived by her husband Fernando Chavez, 2 sons Daniel and David Chavez all of Dyer, 3 brothers Theodore [Dot Werner] Perez of Dyer, Richard [Shirley] Perez of Niles, Mi. and James Perez of Tracy, Ca. 1 sister Lillian Perez of Steger, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents Euialio and Mary Frances Perez. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 2nd at the Smits Funeral Home-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL from 2:00 till 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday May 3rd at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Liborius Catholic Church 35th St. & Chicago Rd. Steger IL. Interment will be at Skyline Memorial Park Cem. Monee, IL. Info at 708-755-6100

To the Chavez Family,

Betty will truly be missed. She was a beautiful person with sunshine that came through all the time. Working with her and talking with her about the love for our families showed what a wonderful, loving person she was. My sympathy goes out to you and all.
