Mary Louise Wimberly Clark COLUMBIA - Mary Louise Wimberly Clark, 87, died in her Forest Acres home, on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Born in Columbia, to Edgar J. Wimberly, Sr. and Willie Sullivan Wimberly. Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her husband, McCree Clark; her brothers, Edgar and Robert; and her sister, Kathleen Hamrick. She is survived by her niece, Susan Wimberly Hitchcock (Stuart) of Suffolk, Va.; her nephew, Edgar J. Wimberly III (Dottie) of Fairfax, Va.; step-grandchildren, Alex and Simone Duff; three grandnieces, Ellen, Rebecca and Megan; grandnephew, Michael; three great-grandnieces, Emily, Maggie, and Sophia; and one great-grandnephew, Alex. Mrs. Clark attended USC and was a lifetime Gamecock supporter. She was for many years Executive Secretary to the President of Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co., retiring in the mid 1980's. She resided in Blythewood prior to moving to Forest Acres in 2003 and was an active member of St. Martin's-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church. In her retirement, she volunteered for many years at The Cooperative Ministry and in her church office. Funeral service and reception will be held at St. Martin's-in-the-Fields on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be sent to St. Martin's Building Fund, Foundation or Memorial Garden.
