Mrs. Mary Symmes Culbertson

Nancy and Manning, I am so saddened at the death of my precious friend Mary, Kenard and I were out of town for the weekend of her services. Mary was a most special lady, as you know, and I will always treasure and remember her friendship. I know you will grieve for her but may you be comforted by the wonderful memories and the life she lead! Love and prayers

Mary was a legend!

I had the pleasure of knowing her and John Bolt as they were constituents in my legislative House District 20 in Greenville! Albeit staunch Democrats, they once told me I was the only Republican they ever voted for besides Strom Thurmond.

The University of SC has a room of John Bolt and Mary memorabilia thats worth the time to visit.

My sympathy to the family....memories live on!
