What an amazing person! She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Each of you lost a very special part of your life. I find dealing with the loss of a loved one, to be the hardest of all things to deal with in life. What helped, and I hope helps you too, is knowing that God is faithful and he is always there to listen when your feeling alone or not understood.

Hi Pat-

Its been many years since we knew each other but I learned about your loss from my parents of all people!

Please know that though we have been separated by time, the love we all shred during our younger years will never escape us. I didnt really know Mary, I knew Reed since he was in my class but that was and Im sure still is, an incredible family.

Good for you, you picked a beautiful person to spend your time in life.

Im so sorry for your loss.

Dear Pat, Jordan, Cade, and family,

What a phenomenal tribute to Mary!!! 700 or more people showed up to fill that barn with their love, compassion, sorrow, appreciation, respect, admiration, friendship and rightful grieving. They also came to give each of you all the above as well. Know that everyone that attended is so concerned for your grieving hearts. We all are compassionate for this huge loss and change in your lives. Every one in the room wanted to some how magically bring Mary back. Yet we each knew her time had simply just come, as it will for everyone. But it always is so much more painful when it happens at a younger age.

Mary filled such immense parts of your lives. She is not here physically anymore but her very essence and every fiber of her still lives with you each new day. We miss her and are inspired in all her compassion, love, support and guidance. I think she is honored to do that for you all for the rest of your lives. She is not done with her life with you. Her spirit and all the memories that make up your relationships with her live on with you. That beautiful flame, soul and spirit cannot ever be extinguished!!

Deepest regards to you and know we are always here for support in every way.

Dear Pat, Family and Friends

You can if you try, always find people that espouse Genuine warmth, generosity, compassion and loyalty. However, in real life, finding it in practice is an entirely different matter. Mary and Pat exemplify the very, very best in life practice that the rest of us would do well to aspire to.

In 1980 Kim and I were fortunate to be one of PDAs first clients. Unquestionably one of the best business and personal relationships we were lucky enough to have, Ever.

In 1982, we faced some extremely difficult personal challenges. Mary and Pat would not take no for an answer to their generous efforts to lend an extremely timely helping hand. We will never be able to repay their unbelievable beautiful, selfless kindness and support in our time of need.

There are no possible words to express the sorrow we feel for the family and all the rest of us at the shocking and crushing loss of Mary. Hopefully her life will inspire the rest of us to redouble our efforts to be better people, to others, ourselves and the planet.

All our deepest thoughts and love are with you, Kim and Bill Bunch

A few pages of the Denver Post somehow made its way to Texas in a package I had ordered...I thought I'll just see what is going on around Denver and sat at the kitchen table thumbing thru the paper... Mary Dunahay's obituary caught my attention. The more I read the more in awe I became of this lady!
She sounds like truly a refreshing woman who marched to her own drum... found love, had children and had fun all the while with a mischievous rebel bent...!! So sorry for the loss of your Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend... some of the ripples of Mary's life went to Texas..

Even though we never met, you were a mother, a mentor, a muse and a friend to my son Conner Reid.
You believed in him, guided him and loved .
You ment the world to him .
Ride gracefully in heaven, conner has a new angel.

Dear Pat and family, Even though it has been quite some time since I last saw Mary, I remember how she was always so kind to me in our younger years. Kindness is a special gift not everyone has. I never forget the people in my life who have shown me kindness .
Take care of yourselves and remember you have each other.
God bless you all. Jeff Dark Centennial, Co.

We are still reeling with the shock and loss of vibrant loving Mary. A huge hole in the bright space she held. Our hearts are heavy with grief for Pat and kids and Mary's loving sisters and family.
Love the picture painted above of Mary jumping over the pearly gate. Smile.

Dear Pat, Jordan, and Cade,
We love you and are devasted in your loss.
The world will never be the same without Mary in it...but the one thing that we can know for sure is that she loved her family and that she will be with you always.
We remember her stories that made everyone in the room double over and ache with laughter. Her love and compassion for all creatures great and small that made her heart so tender and precious. We remember her loyalty, and fierce devotion to those she loved the most, that made her a champion.
There really was something about Mary that made us all better just for knowing her. She will be deeply missed every day, but her beautiful legacy will live on forever. With love, and peace, and comfort to you all, Daren and Shelly

My heart is just aching for your loss. I really don't have the right words to express my sorrow for how she will be missed. Mary had always shown me love, support, & kindness. One thing I know for sure is that Mary LOVED Pat, She would look at him so sweetly, I remember hearing them laugh together when I would be having a sleepover with Jordan.I remember them always going out on dates together or off to family dinners... not by obligation but because Mary's family were their best friends! Jordan and Cade will be left her legacy of loving hard, having fun and being surrounding by one of the kindest, generous and loving families I will probably ever know. I can just see Mary jumping her horse over those pearly gates in heaven right now!
Love you all.
