Mary Ann Dyer COOKEVILLE, Tenn. Funeral services for Mary Ann Kittrell Dyer will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Handlson officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Dyer died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at her home. She was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Cookeville, to the late Thomas William "T.W." and Effie Mae Doan Kittrell. Mrs. Dyer was a homemaker and member of Cookeville First Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Dr. Jefferson Dyer. He was a longtime optometrist in Cookeville. Mrs. Dyer is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Sharon Dyer of Bristol Tennessee; daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Ken Kudrey of Cookeville; sister, Kathleen Binns of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Katy and Genny Kudrey of Cookeville, Andrew Dyer and wife Jenny of Bristol Tennessee, and Tom Dyer and wife Amanda of Nashville, Tenn. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cookeville Putnam County Animal Shelter, 2105 West Jackson, Cookeville, TN 38501; or the Cancer Care Fund at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, One Medical Center Blvd., Cookeville, TN 38501.
