Mary Elizabeth Giuliano

I was a student of hers in the 1974-75 school year at Simsbury High School. She was very engaging, and demanding in a useful way. GREAT EXPECTATIONS was not high on my list at the time, but she got us through it. It is a credit to her and her colleagues that I was able to graduate with honors from Harvard with a degree in English Literature. I am very sad to hear of her passing. May God rest her soul.

Thank you for your guidance and teaching me at Simsbury High School. Your guidance helped me years later in writing and reading going through my rehab post motorcycle accident. Thank you Mrs. G , much appreciated to you. See ya on the other side.

A beautifully written obituary worthy of an elegant English teacher I had 51 years ago, who taught us how to thematically analyze "Great Expectations," and transformed our developing brains into critical thinkers. Thank you "Miss Stefurak" (who we fondly referred to as Steffy), for changing so many lives at Simsbury High School, and making college writing easy. May God bless your family during this difficult time.

ms mary you will be missed we love you here at the academy everyday we wake up and think about you your voice and the way you spoke to these students was such an inspiration. I will miss you always and forever.

We will miss Mary, I always loved her positive energy and enthusiasm! May she rest in peace.
