Sr Mary Ann was such a wonderful woman and mentor. She took on hard work and showed perseverence and fortitude. I am blessed to have had her as a teacher at Bishop Luers. Thank you our good and faithful servant!

Sister Mary Ann was my principal at Saint John the Baptist. I just found out from a classmate by chance that she passed away.
I am writing a story of a miracle that took place in 1973 when I was just 10 years old involving her belief that God answered her prayer through me.
In my mind, this memory would be a blockbuster movie worthy of an acadamey award for best picture.
But we'll let the critics decide. I'm going to contact the Sisters of Saint Mary of the Woods since my mother also went to Saint Mary of the Woods. Hopefully, I can bring a beautiful story back of Sister Mary Ann back to life.
God bless!

Sister Mary Ann always brightened any room she was in. I had the pleasure of working with her at Ivy Tech. She was an excellent educator, and she was generous and loving when it came to students and her colleagues at work. I cherish the time that I got to spend with her. My condolences go out to her family and friends.

What a wonder person who dedicated her life to God and the many young people she encountered in her life. So many fond memories of a self-less person who was always there. When I think of Bishop Luers she is one of the first people who come to my mind. I was very grateful to know her well after high school. God has a new angel with him.

Sister Mary Ann was my principal at St. John's. She let me say the morning announcements. She always laughed at how I added my own craziness to the announcements. She was such an awesome servant of God. She made my years at St. John's wonderful!

Dear Susie, I was sorry to read about your dear sister´s death. I didn´t know Mary Ann personally, but all of us at St. Jude School knew of her, and I finally did get to meet her when she came to our SJS reunion several years ago. She was something of a celebrity; I remember her being mentioned from time to time with pride by the other sisters. As I read her obituary, I was so impressed with all of her accomplishments and assignments. I´m sure she was a wonderful teacher and loved by her students. My sister-in-law, Patty Ley, taught for many years at Ivy Tech, and knew and very much liked Mary Ann. I know you will miss your only sibling, but I was happy to read you were able to have close contact with her. Knowing how much she was loved by so many will surely be a comfort to you. My condolences.

You will be greatly missed by so many of us who were privileged to know your kind and gentle soul. You always accepted everyone as they were, never criticizing or judging. Thank you for all the special dinners at Bandidos...rest in peace, my friend.

To Sister Mary Ann´s family, My sincere sympathy and prayers for her and you. I remember Sr. Mary Ann well from St. John´s and Bishop Luers, and her influence in the St. John´s community. Bless her for all her years of service to the Church in many ways. She was always soft-spoken but a very effective person of leadership and a wonderful educator. May she rest now in peace.
