Mary Ann Gobel

We only knew Mary Ann later in her life but quickly came to love and respect her. She was a wonderful lady with a great outlook on life.

I thought I was doing ok until today when I mentioned to my co-worker that my sons' Grandmother passed away on Saturday. I started to cry. It was the first time I had cried and I had to think about all that she meant to me in my life since I was 17 years old. She wasn't only my son's grand-mother, but she was my friend, my mother-n-law and a very big big part of my life for many many years. Even though her son and I divorced over 11 years ago, Mary Ann and I kept in touch and about 8 months ago she told me that I will always be her favorite daughter-in-law. I could call her at any time and update her with my life, relationship up and downs and you could talk to her just about anything. She never judged people, never judged me and she always rooted for me in any endeavors I wanted to engage in. I'll always cherish you and love you like a Mother!
