RUSK - Services for Mary Lou Goldsberry, 79, Rusk, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery under direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk.

Mrs. Goldsberry died Nov. 12, 2006, in a Palestine nursing home.

She was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Greencastle, Ind., to Luther and Mary Butts Templeman. Formerly of Greencastle, Ind., and Nacogdoches, she had resided in Rusk since 1951. She was a 1944 graduate of Greencastle High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rusk, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary since 1991 and a 54-year member of Beta Sigma Phi in Rusk. She was a collection officer for Southern Cherokee Federal Credit Union for 20 years. She was preceded in death by husband, George K. Goldsberry, in 2001; brother, John Paul Templeman; sisters, Hortense Jewell, Ethel Bridges, Josephine Spears and Gertrude Heavin.

Survivors include sons, Edward Goldsberry, Houston, Alan Goldsberry, Austin, and Bobby Goldsberry, Rusk; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Anthony Holcomb, Wayne Morgan, Ryan Goldsberry, Tate "T.K." Goldsberry and Taylor Goldsberry.

Honorary pallbearers are Robby Goldsberry, Reece Goldsberry, Alek Goldsberry and Joshua Goldsberry.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Cartmell Home Foundation, 2212 W. Reagan St., Palestine, 75801.
